#20: Nose ring and a smile

I feel that this lady had such an open presence to her. She was bright and cheerful without it being in your face or made up. There is something about her quiet smile that I really enjoy.

    I can only image that this large, gold, hammered nose ring is a sign of her wealth.

    Her makeup may be understated (maybe makeup is not a sign of beauty in her country) but her jewelry is very prominent.

    HI Lisa, thank you so much for stopping by. You are absolutley right, folks in India put a lot of their wealth in Gold jewelry. It is not only a “fashion” statement, but it is also a status statement. People look at each other’s status by the jelewlry they wear.

    Also, makeup is almost non-existent in these circles.
